Getting to know

Perrin Cunningham

I am Perrin D. Cunningham. I am a graduate student at Tiffin University, currently pursing my Master of Business Administration, with a focus in Sports Management. I come from Cincinnati, Ohio, where I was raised to love sports. I grew up playing baseball and football with my brothers, which grew into a passion that helped mold me into the man that I am today. Through my love for football, I learned life lessons, persistence, hardworking, and determination. I have made life long connections and gained a competitive spirit, which I bring to my many positions. I moved to Columbus when I decided to continue my athletic and academic career at Ohio Dominican University. I left with two degrees, one in Communications and one in Sports Management. Also, I left my mark athletically by being a team captain my senior year, and earning All-Region and All-American honors for football.

In my current stage of life, I am working at Nationwide Financial Services, within the Internal Sales and Services Department. In this position, I am able to use my leadership skills and competitive spirit to lead the advisors to success, by getting them to their goals.

My spare time is used to give back to the Columbus youth through sports. This is my 4th year as an Offensive Line Coach at Northland High School. This is also my 4th year working as an Offensive Line Specialist through the Skills Development University to sharpen middle and high schoolers craft. Lastly, I train high schoolers in my free time to become stronger, faster, and better athletes.

My love for sports runs deep through my veins. It is with these skills that I hope to pursue my dream of opening and managing a multi-complex sports facility for inner-city youth. Since starting in this field a few years ago, I have noticed that a major factor that causes low participation in sports is money. I want to be sure to cut the cost down for the athletes by getting grants and sponsorships to cover the cost of scholarships for these athletes that are unable to afford these activities. It is my goal, that through positive mentors, life long friendships, and a passion for sports, these young athletes will be able to make all of their dreams possible.
