More to Come. 3/24/2021 (5hrs)

Today was another normal day in the office. A lot more observing and making sure all track and field athletes are eligible and prepared for the first relay this upcoming Saturday. This will be another event where I’m helping set up and take down. I’m trying to understand the logistics more and how teams are invited or do they accept a stipend to receive or accept an invite. There will be up to twelve schools in attendance for this relay, some inside Columbus City and some outside of Columbus City. This will be one of the first big events of the track season for Columbus City. I can’t wait to learn more about the process of track and field. I would like to compare it to other sports and see any big differences or similarities. Once spring sports start to begin it will be more hands on for me when it comes to learning and getting involved. I believe it will be a lot more responsibility when it comes to being the active AD for track and field events because you are responsible not only for your team, but you are responsible for all the other programs that are involved. Also, there will be spectators allowed with the proper social distancing. This will be an exciting event on Saturday, and I can’t wait to tell you my experience with it.
